Masks seen at a local fair in Ono. Some of the popular characters include "Atom Boy" -Japan's equivalent of Mickey Mouse (thanks Lewis), "Anpanman" - a super hero with a bread roll for a head, a robotic cat named "Doraemon", and of course good old "Thomas the Tank Engine".

I have to put my pedantic hat on here Sam, and point out that Atom Boy was a hugely popular Manga character a long time before he opened a chain of restaurants. He was created in the 1952, and is basically the Japanese equivalent of Mickey Mouse, created by the Japanese equivalent of Walt Disney, Osamu Tezuka.
So there.

Sorry Lewis - I hold my hands up. My knowledge of Manga is pretty much in the region of jack shit.
