One of my fellow teachers reckons this is Tamori-san from the quiz show "Trivia". If you haven't seen it, each week they have a competition to see which bit of amazing trivia can provoke the most "ehhh!!!s" from a celebrity panel ("ehhh!" being the noise (word?) that Japanese people make when confronted with a startling piece of information. It's infectious - I've started doing it now).
